Obituary of Rae A. White
Rae Alison White, 71, of Heritage Park Rehab and Skilled Nursing, formerly of Covenant Manor, passed into eternity March 31, 2019, after an extended illness.
She was born October 9, 1947, in Jamestown, the daughter of the late Kermit and Trudy Watkins White.
Rae graduated from Frewsburg High School in 1965 and pursued a productive career as an artist. She obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts from University of Buffalo in 1969 and a Master of Fine Arts in 1972 from Southern Massachusetts Technological Institute.
Her specialty in the field of art was painting pictures of carousel horses.
She was a long time member of the National Carousel Association and the Pastel Society of America. For many years she was a court illustrator in Providence, RI and illustrated feature articles for the Providence Journal Bulletin.
Surviving are cousins John (Jackie) Watkins of Jamestown, Tom (BJ) Watkins of Kailua, HI and Jeanine Watkins of Newton Center, MA.
Rae attended Hillcrest Baptist Church.
A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Visitation will not be observed.
Memorials may be made to a charity of choice.
