Obituary of James B. Price

James B. Price, 68, of 57 Gordon St., Jamestown, passed away Sunday, June 30, 2019 at UPMC Hamot in Erie, Pa. He was born February 14, 1951 in Jamestown and was a son of the late Charles H. and Nancy Nelson Price. Jim was a graduate of Jamestown High School and attended Allegheny College. A man of many interests, following college he traveled to the United States southwest to absorb the culture, take photographs and hone his Spanish language skills. After returning home, he did landscaping work. Jim was also always interested in horses. He followed the statistics of jockeys and trainers, as well as the record of the horses and their performances in past races. He enjoyed the occasional trip to OTB. Jim always took great pleasure in visits with his nieces and nephews. Survivors include a brother, Charles N. "Chuck" Price and his wife, Candy, of New York City; and nieces, Jennifer Vogrin, Courtney Bush and Carly Price. Jim was preceded in death by his father in 2011 and mother in 2018; and by a brother, Wilson C. "Trip" Price who died in 1999. A private family graveside service will be held in Lake View Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will not be observed.
