I'm so sorry to hear of Tim's passing. We were friends for years & told me he was doing better & sent me pics. I hadn't heard from him in awhile & he always text on holidays. Just saddens me to hear he lost his fight. He was one of the sweetest, nicest guys I knew. We had alot of fun years ago. My heart goes out to all of you kids. He was proud of you all & sent me many photos of you.

I am so sorry to hear this news...
The Ruth's were one of my favorite families growing up in the Randolph area and I always loved staying at their home in Onoville when I got the chance.
I know that Tim will be sadly missed.
My deepest sympathies to Rose, Rusty, and all of Tim's family.

My condolences to the Ruth family. Short story about Tim. In College back in 1995, I broke his career rushing record against Gannon my senior year and he came up to me in person after the game to meet me and congratulate me. That meant the world to me. I made it a point to make sure I did the same with the next record breaker. When Richard Stokes broke my record 12 years later, I was in NC living so unable to attend the game, but I called him and we had a great phone conversation. I hope this tradition, initiated by Tim Ruth still continues today. RIP my friend.

Ken and I are so saddened to read this! Tim was a classmate of mine. He was always kind. A great athlete. We lost contact through the years as many of us do. Last spring I ran into him and we sat down and had the nicest visit. We share what our life's had been like and our current health issues. What meant the most to me with that visit was at the end he asked if he could give me a hug....I've thought of that many times this last year! Rest in peace Tim, and our deepest condolences to Rusty, Rosie and the rest of his family.
