Dear Ron, Janet and Karen: Please accept my sincere sympathy for the passing of your mother. Helen was a beautiful, delightful woman and I am sure she will be missed by all of you. I always enjoyed visiting with her when I did "home communion". I am sorry that I will not be able to be at her service as I will be out of town. You know I would be there if it weren't the case. I have so many memories of Aunt Helen & the many hours spent at the house on Cowing St. As a child it was my 2nd home. Highlights are the wading pool & Janet being the lifeguard when she was home, the bag of blocks, dolls & doll crib,& board games. It was so special to play with my big cousins’ toys. I remember sitting on the front steps, waiting for Ron & Joyce to arrive so I could play with Karin, even before she could crawl. Holidays were the best. Aunt Helen always made them extra special. Sometimes I got to sit at the adult table; not sure if that was because I’d been good or because I caused trouble at the kids table! I am sorry I am unable to attend her service, & will miss seeing all of you. Many thoughts & prayers are with all. Fondly, Karen

What a true testament to faith, determination and love Helen was. I am saddened to learn of her passing, but rest in the knowledge that she is truly at peace. I especially enjoyed the past several years when I had occasion, as a volunteer, to spend times with her on A2. My thoughts and prayers are with you, Ron and Janet, and your families, at this time. My brother Tony is visiting me in Palm Springs, California - and news of your Mom’s passing made us think of the good times we all had on Cowing Street. I recall spending hours in your Dining Room viewing your Father’s coin and stamp collection and your mom serving me milk and cookies. And in recent years, my brother and I had lunch with my Mother, your Mom, and Mrs. LaTone at Lutheran Home. What a long and wonderful life! Regards to Janet and Ron.
