Helen was born July 25, 1917 in Antrim, Pa. and was a daughter of the late Charles and Edith Swanson Edstrom.
In earlier years, she was employed as a secretary by Hopes Windows and later by the Boy Scouts office in Jamestown. She had also been a literacy volunteer and was a long time member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Ronald (Joyce) Bagnall of Farmingdale, ME and daughter, Janet (Karen) Bagnall of Utica, NY; four grandchildren: Karin Bagnall, Jon Mark Bagnall and David (Jennifer) Bagnall, all of Brooklyn, NY, and Sarah (Robin) Farrow of London, England; three great-grandchildren: Erik Bagnall, Kristoffer Bagnall and Chelsea Farrow; as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband of 66 years, Ed, she was preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law, Clifford and Marilyn Edstrom; and nephew, Thomas Edstrom.
Helen's family gives special thanks for Lutheran's A-2 Staff, Hospice, and Pastors Daniel Rumfelt and Tara Lamont Eastman for all of their love and care.
