Although I could not be there to say good-bye to my beloved, Aunt Denise, she was always with me in spirit. What my sister, Heidi and I received in love, guidance, and support, to which we are truly blessed, no one could take her place in the bond that we had in growing up, all of the special vacations, and summers that we got to spend in Panama, and just learning the basics of cooking in her way, and her one favorite drink, Pepsi, that she always had to have in hand. It is because of the health issues that all sides of our families seem to face that I am so diligently pushing myself for that, self-care.
I wanted to thank her for the wisdom in pushing me in my educational goals, I'm graduating in June with an EMBA, and have been accepted to three prestigious law schools. It was her love of learning, along with my Grandma Fetters as well, that didn't allow me to quit the love of it. Although life happens, pursue what makes you happy.
We hadn't spoke in months prior, but I got to speak to Aunt Denise the day before she passed, and I am forever grateful. I hope all of our loved ones realize what an amazing person she truly is and will forever be in our hearts. She passed on what would have been my mom's 65th birthday. The irony of that. Rest In Peace. All my love, Hope Ann

Such a sweet lady who always made kids at school and away feel loved and important. Will always recall her as the person who popped her head in my classroom next door the morning of Sept 11, 2001 to say that a plane had crashed into one of the twin towers. We both thought a strange accident of course, but slowly figured out what was happening together. As those terrible events unfolded she and I watched with kids wondering what to do next. Denise was really loved and admired at Panama School. She will be sadly missed, but left a wonderful impression on lots of people on this earth. Loren Smith-Panama Teacher

So sorry to have heard of your mom's death Jeremie. Nothing can be said to make you feel the loss any less. Know though that there are people around you who love you and will be there for you. May God bring you peace and rest in knowing that she now is in the arms of God.
