Dear family, On 2/20/2020, I stood over the 4 month old gravesite of my dad. Both parents have been in the Lutheran home since Sept. 2017. I saw my dad's friends and family. I saw this online and wanted to say that I am truly sorry for your loss. Dealing with my mom and dad over the years, I did not even know that your mother died. I liked them both so much. Watching my dad and your dad argue, bicker and just be ITALIAN was so much fun after they were retired. I knew they had stupid differences. Still, I knew they were alike. Hell, many confused them as they looked similar. Your dad treated me well. I liked him a lot. He would criticize my dad right in front of me but then leave with Italian gifts like burdock, veggies , etc. They were the way that they grew up with. My dad always mentioned your dad even with his dementia. It was like listening to a narrator of of a movie. Miss your parents, really. They were part of my growing years. My mom is still in the Lutheran home. She cried when I told her. She gets the paper but forgets things too now. My condolences to the Soldano family. Angelo-Soldano was a true gentleman. He will be greatly missed, along with his smile and boy did he have some good jokes! Rest In Peace, my friend.
