Obituary of Melissa A. Elfman

Melissa A. Elfman, 33, of Jamestown, NY, passed away at 3:40 pm Monday, August 31, 2020, in her home. She was born August 4, 1987 in San Diego, CA, a daughter of John C. Elfman and Cecile A. Bliss Elfman. Melissa was a 2005 graduate of Southwestern Central School and earned her associate's degree from Jamestown Community College. She was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving from August 25, 2005 to December 22, 2006. She will be remembered as one who was vivacious, colorful, and full of life. She was a unique soul who lit up every room she walked into. A true lover of animals, foxes being her favorite, she also enjoyed listening to music and riding her motorcycle. Surviving are her parents, John Elfman of Jamestown, Cecile Elfman of Franklin,TN, her sisters; Stephanie Elfman, her identical twin, and Samantha Elfman both of Jamestown, Sarah Elfman and Katie Elfman both of Franklin, TN, her brother in law, Jason Near, her niece, Zoe Alianell, her nephews, Ryan Alianell and Dylan Ennis, as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded n death by her paternal grandparents, Ruth VerHague and Mark Elfman and her maternal grandparents Paul C. and Meredith A. Bliss. A celebration of life service for Melissa will be held at a later date. Visitation will not be observed.
