Obituary of Barbara K. Luce

Barbara K. Luce, 75, of Jamestown, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 5, 2020 in UPMC Hamot in Erie, PA. She was born April 3, 1945 in Jamestown, the daughter of the late Charles H. and Katherine L. Przybelinski Johnson. Barbara was a graduate of Jamestown High School and also graduated from SUNY Fredonia, receiving her Bachelor Degree in 1968, and her Master's Degree in 1971. She was a communicant of Holy Apostles Parish, Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Barbara was an elementary teacher at Randolph Central School for 34 years, retiring in 2002. She was an avid reader, loved to travel, and loved kids, especially her granddaughters. Barbara is survived by her husband, Lee H. Luce, whom she married June 22, 1968; a daughter Melissa (Michael) Tow of Cedar Rapids, IA; a son Jason Luce of Melbourne, FL; and two granddaughters Ariana and Rachel Tow, both of Cedar Rapids, IA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her three brothers: Richard B. Johnson, Gary A. Johnson, Sr., and Ronald S. Johnson. As per Barbara's wishes, there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Inurnment will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
