Obituary of Kevin J. Humphreys

Kevin J. Humphreys, 59, of the Marlow Road in Jamestown, died unexpectedly Wednesday morning, April 7, 2021 in the emergency room of UPMC Chautauqua. He was born in Jamestown on June 3, 1961 and was the son of the late Cyrus Humphreys and Rita Wirtner Carson. Kevin had been employed by Jamestown Metal Products, TitanX and more recently by Hope's Windows. He had also been a bartender at the Falconer Legion and Waddington's Tavern. He was an active member of the Henry Mosher Post 638 American Legion, serving in several capacities throughout the years. Kevin enjoyed youth sports as well as coaching during the years his sons were growing up. He liked golf, playing pool, camping and fishing. He always looked forward to just hanging out with his buddies at Waddington's. Surviving is his life partner, Crystal Becker and her son, Tristan Becker of Jamestown; Kevin's two sons, Chad (Heather) Humphreys of Eureka, CA and Ben (Lindsay) Humphreys of Parma Heights, OH; the mother of his sons, Susan Humphreys of Jamestown; three brothers: James (Sandy) Humphreys of North Carolina, Bob Carson of North Carolina and Todd Carson of Jamestown; and a sister-in-law, Alta (Dana) Stahlman of Lakewood and brother-in-law, Mike (Julie) Vogle of Jamestown. In addition to his father and his mother, Kevin was preceded in death by his father- and mother-in-law, Richard and Kay Vogle; and a nephew, Michael Golden. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at a later date to be announced. Visitation will not be observed. Memorials may be made to the Henry Mosher American Legion Post, 132 W. Main St., Falconer, NY 14733.
