To Betty's family,
She will never be forgotten. There have been so many great things written about her and stories told about her that I can't add to. We are just grateful we had her at St. James for so many years. God bless you all. Peace & Love,
Linda & Paul Demler

Betty always came well prepared. Four of us were flown to Washington DC by Msgr. Attea in in 1986 for an Ecumenical Conference. I roomed with Betty, and she brought items “just in case” that I would never have thought to bring. Thank goodness (and Betty) because she “saved” me many times.

Dear Lynn and family
Betty was an amazing woman. Full of energy and always willing to help. She was a staple of St. James RC Church where she could be found doing everything. Always smiling and a story to share. Not too long ago we were all talking about what our next trip would be. Most suggestions your Mom had already been. She didn’t even want to go to Rome again because she thought it had changed too much.
We all loved your Mom.

Lynn, your mother was my Godmother. She not only sent me a card for every birthdays, but also remembered all my brothers’ birthdays. Aunt Betty was a very special and gracious woman. Your mother was also special to my dad, Dr. Alvin Scott. He always called your mother on her birthday and sent something to celebrate it. When my dad died, I continued his tradition with Aunt Betty in her honor. She deserved this small kindness. I am sorry I cannot see you in person and attend your mother’s funeral. My brother William will be attending, though, and I asked William to convey my affection and condolences to you and your family. Aunt Betty was always a thoughtful and wonderful member of our family. Bless Aunt Betty and your family, with love, Paula Paula Scott, PhD

Betty was kind and warm and genuine. She truly lived her Christian faith and will be missed by many. Deepest sympathy to her loved ones.

The Scott Family from Champaign Illinois send our heart felt condolences to our Family in Jamestown NY. Aunt Betty was beloved in our household as she would remember us at Christmas with her beautiful and thoughtful cards and Christmas blessings. My father Alvin had a very warm place in his heart for his sister and always thought of her on her Birthday (January 2). May both of their souls rest in the peace of God the almighty along with all our brothers and sisters in Christ.
