To Art's dear family,
I am grateful to have known your dad, shared the same love for everything flowers, trees, shrubs, esp unique varieties. His knowledge of plant & passion for nurturing beautiful plants, teaching others was truly a blessing to all. The picture is my giant fire and ice hydrangea from the nursery..in fact, this past year, I cut dry, spent, snow covered blossoms and used them to decorate my Christmas tree. Will miss talking shop and picking his brain, his willingness to find things nobody else had. Remember his pens he gave away...he said, " I finally got my name in lights even if I had to pay for it" Getting a late Christmas tree won't be the same, yet I'm lucky enough to know the gals from the Nursery & Scott is my neighbor. God give you all countless beautiful memories, peace, comfort & healing!

To Art Samples Family,
My husband and I so very much enjoyed talking to Art, and getting good advice on our ornamental pear trees we bought from him.
He was so knowledgeable and kind.
Our sincere sympathy to his family.

To us, Art was the epitome of an entrepreneur. He was a man on the move. His energy was enviable. His knowledge of flora & tree species was extensive. It was always a pleasure to wheel & deal with a man of integrity. Over a number of decades I'm sure
that the thousands of plants & trees that he sold continue to grace the homes & businesses of Chautauqua County & beyond. Art, like the perennials, deciduous & coniferous trees that he marketed continues to add beauty for all to appreciate. Thank you Art for
helping to make our gardens & neighborhoods better places to appreciate Mother Nature.

Art was one of a kind. He was so very smart and we all learned so much from him. He knew everything there was to know about plants of every kind. Art was always patient with all of our questions and could certainly banter back at Bob's constant joking. Art will surely be missed. The Lucas' send our condolences to the entire Samples family. He was a proud father! We will remember him always and we will continue to tell our customers...you gotta go to Art Samples! He's the best around!
