To the family, God is with you! You might not understand why Al isn't physically here on this planet where we can see and talk with him. I would have you to know that's a secret between Al and God that we may never know. I have lots memories of Al, and his wife Toni when they both lived in Erie, PA. May you all be able to recognize and receive the love, peace and grace of the Lord Jesus Christ during this period of grief! From Steve Blanks and family!

Toni, Tia and the entire Farmer family -
My heart aches for your loss. I will be praying for God's peace and comfort for you! Through Him you will find strength. I have so many wonderful memories of times spent with Al & Toni when "my" Joe was a child. Thank you for them!
The coming days will be difficult but in time the tears of sadness will turn to tears of joy from all of the wonderful years you had together. Treasure each moment and count them all as blessings - a true sign of the love for another.
Sending you hugs and love,
Debbie Perry

It is with broken heart we mourn the passing of our beloved Al Farmer "Big Al". At the same time we smile as we remember and celebrate his life.
Al was a true friend in every sense of the word. He had a heart bigger than anyones. To know Al was to love, respect and appreciate his personality, kindness and generosity.
Al will never be forgotten his spirit will always live in my heart.
With much love to Al Farmer and his family we pray.

The African American Alumni Committee of Gannon University mourn the loss of our Brother Al Farmer. Al's spirt always uplifted and encouraged everyone he came in contact with. From the moment he stepped on campus and the city of Erie he was a joy and pleasure to be around.
We are praying for Toni, Nia and the extended Farmer Family. Our loss is Heaven's gain, we will see him again in due season.
Prayerfully submitted,
Homer L. Smith Jr.
