Obituary of Charles P. Fasciana
Charles P. ("Chick") Fasciana, Sr., died on November 21, 2021, at UPMC Hamot. A lifelong resident of Jamestown, New York, Chick was a beloved and trustworthy automobile salesman to generations of many local residents. After starting as a teenager working for his uncles at Cusimano Brothers Dodge, Chick spent many years at Hartley Buick Honda GMC and, later, the Shults Auto Group.
Chick earned an Associate's Degree from Jamestown Community College where he met his wife of 56 years, Jill (Schroeder) Fasciana. Chick loved spending time with his friends and family. He never lost his passion for a good party, loved to laugh and to make others laugh. He was an avid and accomplished golfer, loved rewatching the Godfather movies, riding his mower and sitting on his patio with his dogs and a Southern Comfort Manhattan. He was an involved father and doting grandfather.
A past President of Moonbrook County Club and past Chairman of the Italian-American Charity Golf Association, Chick also was an active booster of the Jamestown Red Raiders Varsity Basketball Team and Jamestown Red Raiders Marching Band during his childrens' high school years.
He is survived by his daughter, Michelle Fasciana Rider of Newburgh, New York, and his son, Chip Fasciana of Albany, New York and San Diego, California. He also is survived by his beloved grandchildren, Alyssa and Sam Rider of Newburgh, his sister, Mary Jane (Fasciana) Price and niece, Katie (Price) Ecklund, both of Maryland, and many cousins.
Chick was preceded in death by his father, Samuel Fasciana, and his mother, Margaret (Cusimano) Fasciana.
Visiting hours will be held from 4-8 pm Sunday in the Lind Funeral Home (masks are required), where a Christian Wake Service will be led at 7:45pm.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am Monday, November 29, at St. James Roman Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to The American Cancer Society, 101 John James Audubon Parkway Buffalo, NY 14228 or The Italian-American Charity Golf Association, PO Box 352, Jamestown, NY, NY 14702-0352.
