To the Graham Family... Unfortunately, I just learned about the dearest man that you could have in your life Ronnie Graham or should I say COACH GRAHAM!!! I will always remember Ronnie coming to my house with his white van to go track meets and practices!! My fondest memory is when Ronnie presented me with the MVP Award for ny years in sports at Jamestown High School!!! Mostly, this was a man of God whom gave his blood, sweat and hollering voice to keep you focus and the big pictures of accomplishments!!! I will always love you Ronnie you are truly one of God's Angels and Blessings!!! Love, Valerie Payne (Lowther)❤️❤️❤️

To the Family of Ron Graham
Please accept our heartfelt condolences for the loss of Ron. He gave such strong, positive, leadership to so many young people in our community throughout his life. My son Jackson and daughter Amy were guided by Ron from back in the early '80's. The character building he gave them and others has been a gift to our entire community and touched lives far from here. He was a special man who inspired young people to strive for their highest potential. Bob Rohm

I'm am so sorry for your loss, Ron made a huge imprint on my life and Im truly blessed that our lives crossed. He changed the trajectory of my life by telling me that I can do anything and not limit myself. He even demonstrated this by calling top schools to recruit me (I thought he was nuts lol) but Tennessee called back! This motivated me to reach above and beyond in life. Now I have 2 masters degrees and led a successful military career because of him. I love you Ron.

Sending my sincere condolences to Tamu, Rahsaan, Faith and the rest of the family. I don't remember how it happened, but sometime in 1980 Ron had me and a small group of kids doing wind sprints in the bowels of Euclid School. From then on the Striders were a part of my life all the way through high school, as they were for so many of us. Driving to Buffalo, Penn Relays, multiple freezing trips to York in Canada, and the one memorable trip where it was just Ron, Jackson Rohm (rip) and I driving all the way to Annapolis...on top of all of the JHS races he hollered at me at! I can still hear his deep voice in my head, urging me on. Lastly and most importantly, Ron was the one who contacted a 3-time Olympian and coach at Tennessee, and somehow a week later the plane tickets for my recruiting trip arrived. However he did it, it changed my life in just about every way. I will always remember the profound, lasting impact he had on my life.

I met the Graham brothers years ago at the Music Box. The brothers introduced me to jazz and Mahalia Jackson. Such fun. Later I worked with Ron at Cummins. I always remember how he would talk about being self sufficient. Have some land and raise what he needed . A great dream .
Mostly it was what he accomplished in Jamestown with children, the opportunity to make their dreams come true.
Ron is someone I’m very thankful for knowing.
My sympathy to his family

I am so saddened to hear the news of Ronnie's passing. He meant so much to so many, including me and my family. I cherish the memories of him, the Graham family, and the Chautauqua Striders. I've been outside of Jamestown now for over half my life, but my growing up years were so special, and Ronnie was part of the positive upbringing I was blessed with in Jamestown. Condolences to Helen and the entire family.

I am so shocked and saddened to hear of Ron's death. I googled him today because I felt it was time to reconnect after so many years, only to find the news of his passing. Tragic! During high school and college years I had the pleasure of sharing friendship with Ron, and also with John and Lonnie. They were the kindest people I can imagine. As was their mother who welcomed me into their home many times. I'm especially sorry for all family members as well as his friends and for the entire community who benefitted from his love and generosity.

My condolences go out to the entire Graham family. I knew Ronnie from the early days of the Striders, when he came out to a Jamestown High Track practice to recruit us. That first year (1979), I think we we called the YMCA Chautauqua Valley or something like that and the 2nd year is when we became the Striders. We all packed into cars and vans to get to the AAU track meets anyway we could. I still have my track uniform from that period. He was a great guy and roll model as well as great coach. He is forever with me and a part of my history..

So sorry to hear about Ron’s passing. He was such an important part of my and many others’ athletic development through high school. He never missed a day picking me and Ian Kincaid up at 6am for our before school weight lifting at the YMCA. Even in the worst of the Jamestown winters, he was always there.
Sending love to the family, I hope you cherish the memories.

I was so sorry to hear of Ron’s passing. My condolences go out to his family. Ron’s passion and support of youth programming was legionary. I served on the ad hoc committee that brought Strider’s Track to fruition. Ron was indeed the driving force. I will forever miss his greeting: “Hey Brother” accompanied by a firm handshake. He will be missed by many. God bless you Ron. You made a difference. Sincerely, Bob Ostrom
