Obituary of Jean Marie Logie Bobo

Jean Marie Logie Bobo, 91, of Longview Ave. in Jamestown WE, passed away Saturday, March 25, 2023 at UPMC Hamot in Erie. She was born Feb. 8, 1932 in Cleveland, OH, a daughter of the late Robert and Agnes McAuley Logie. She went on to earn her Bachelor's degree from Grove City College and Master's degree from Syracuse University. For 29 years, Jean was employed by Panama Central School and Jamestown High School teaching business. Throughout the years, she also worked for the Yarn Corner, Carnahan's, Park Grill Restaurant, Atheneum Hotel, Red Barn Store, Good Morning Farm, Attorney Warren Erickson and Wellman's, as well as Olive's, Watermark and Landmark restaurants, given Jean's long-standing relationship with Pati Centi. She was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Delta Kappa Gamma, Delta Pi Epsilon, the Vikings and the Moose, Jamestown Teachers Assoc., and the Lakewood Rod & Gun Club. Jean's volunteer organizations include the Red Cross, United Way, Jamestown Community College, Meals On Wheels, American Cancer Society, Mayville Court House, Jones Hill and WCA Hospital, Salvation Army, Fenton Historical Society, St. Luke's Thrift Shop, Reading Literacy, Persell School, WJTN Radio, St. Mark's Church, and the United Way. She is survived by three children, Stephanie (Jeff) Johnson, David (Lisa) Bobo and Jill (Fred) Lehman; ten grandchildren, Jennifer (Matt) Beebe, Erin (Mike) McGee, Shelby (David) Oste, Hannah Johnson, Bryan (Meghan) Bobo, Ben (Abby) Bobo, Karlee (Jaime) Kilpatrick, Kayla (Tommy) Leiser, Maddie Lehman and Marley Lehman; seven great-grandchildren, Luke and Nathan Beebe, Sophia and Addie McGee, Mia Oste, Easton Bobo, and Colin Kilpatrick; and Jean's twin sister, Joan (Bill) Reed. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Troutman. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Luke F. Fodor will officiate. Inurnment will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery. Friends will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Chautauqua Hospice & Palliative Care, 20 W.
