Obituary of Anne M. Stuart

Anne M. Stuart, 89, formerly of Lake Wales, FL, passed away peacefully Tuesday evening, June 13, 2023 at her home in West Ellicott. Married in 1954, Anne cherished 68 years with her loving husband, Albert D. Stuart who died in 2021. Anne was born August 8, 1933 in Steelton, Pa., the daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret Rudolph Nagle. For many years she worked as a legal secretary at her husband's law firm in Middletown, PA. A lover of travel, with her husband Anne visited many places including Israel, Europe, Egypt, Russia, and throughout the United States. Anne enjoyed playing bridge and entertaining. She was also a proud docent, volunteering many hours at BOK Tower in Lake Wales, FL and Pigeon Key, in Marathon, FL. Surviving is her son, Tom (Susie) Stuart of West Ellicott; three grandchildren, Lizzie (Bert) Meekins of Lakewood, NY, Alex (Amber) Stuart of Rome, NY, and Maureen Stuart of Houston, TX; as well as three great grandchildren, Margaret Stuart, Johanna Stuart, and Isabelle Meekins. Along with her husband, Anne was preceded in death by their eldest son, Joseph Stuart. A private family service will be held. Visitation will not be observed. Interment will be in Harrisburg, Pa. at a later date.
