Obituary of Richard W. Burham

Richard W. Burham, 65, of Lakewood, NY, died Saturday, July 15, 2023 at UPMC Hamot, the result of injuries sustained in a traffic accident. He was born Sept. 21, 1957 in Phillipsburg, NJ, a son of the late Eugene and Marion Beck Burham. Richard joined the service at a young age, and served 17 years in the Army, both active duty and reserves. A machine operator who was proud of his work, he retired from Monofrax in March of this year. Although short, Rick enjoyed his retirement spending lots of time with his grandchildren, who were always excited to see their papa. Rick loved motorcycle riding when the weather was nice and fishing when he could. He was excited year round for the king salmon to come in the fall. He's survived locally by a son, Bryan Burham of Jamestown; grandchildren, Ellie, Ian and Milo Burham; a brother, Wallace Burham of Ashville; nephews, Shawn Burham of Panama, and Jason and Michael Burham, both of Ashville; as well as many siblings, cousins, nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, July 27th in the Lind Funeral Home. Inurnment will be in Veteran's Grove of Lake View Cemetery.
