Doretta met my family at First Covenant church over 10 years ago. She was the first person to sit with me in the balcony and her beautiful spirit melted our hearts. She always smiled, was deeply honest and profoundly proud of her children and grandchildren. She even would bring us folders of their pictures and tell us stories while we waited for the sermon to begin. I had the blessings of delivering her flowers from church while she lived independently across from JHS. I hated COVID taking away our occasional visits but will always know God sent me an angel the day my boys and I sat in the balcony. ❤️
