Obituary of Nancy B. Ruttenbur

Nancy B. Ruttenbur, 89, formerly of the Dutch Hollow Rd., passed away Saturday evening, Nov. 18, 2023 at Heritage Green Rehab & Skilled Nursing. She was the wife of Irwin B. Ruttenbur whom she married March 27, 1955. Nancy was born July 16, 1934 in Mayville, NY, a daughter of the late Marvin and Margaret Van Atter Bly, and graduated from Bemus point High School in 1953. She had been a 4-H Leader and attended Fluvanna Community Church. Throughout the years Nancy worked for Jamestown Telephone Co., and as a seamstress at the former Bigelow's Department Store, Castle Bridal, and following retirement doing alterations from home. Along with her husband Irwin, surviving are their three children, Rhonda Francis of North Carolina, Rodney Ruttenbur of Jamestown, and Laurie Gross of Jamestown; grandchildren, Devon Francis, Ted Ruttenbur, and Sam Ruttenbur; and three great-grandchildren. Visitation will not be observed. A service may be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to Heritage Green Rehab & Skilled Nursing, or to a charity of choice.
