Paul,
Chip was our mailman from 1976 until he retired. He knew I liked to fish and so there was always a story he had to share about catching some muskies with you or his fishing lure collection or long gun collection that you would inherit. Chip always gave me an invitation to come visit to see the collections, but I never got the chance.
I liked going to household sales and would buy wooden fishing lures to sell to him. At Christmas he would receive a present of 3-4 vintage lures from us.
Your Dad was very proud of you. I always liked hearing his stories and I was so worried he was going to be late delivering the mail because we both loved talking about his hobby.
He was a swell guy, well liked and fun. May his memory be eternal.
Tom & Marty 62 Adams.

Chip was the only mailman we ever knew. So many stories he shared with my dad as I was growing up. I remember the icicles on his mustache in the winter! What a nice guy!! Prayers to his family. I hope they find comfort during this time.

So sad to hear of Chip's passing. Knew him in high school and in D.C. he was best man at our wedding. Have missed him over the years. I'm sure your many memories will sustain you and give you love and peace.

We moved to Jamestown in 1989. Chip was our mailman. Always friendly, he made us feel welcome to our new town. He watched our children grow up with his daily visits to our mailbox. Great memories of a great guy.

Chip was enjoyable to be around. He was one of the funniest guys I had the pleasure of working with at the P.O. I'll remember him for his sense of humor and outgoing personality.

Back in the 70s and 80s Chip was our mailman. He was a great mailman, helpful, kind, remembered who we were and who we looked forward to seeing and having a quick chat when he delivered our mail. We were sorry to hear of his passing but we have many nice memories of him as I’m sure our whole neighborhood does.

Paul and Shannon, Please accept our sincere condolences on the passing of your dad . He was an exceptional man. Our family couldn’t have been blessed with better neighbors than your family. Especially your Dad. He was a loyal friend to my mother after our Dad passed and I always knew that he was looking out for our Mom to make sure she was ok. I personally enjoyed talking with him and listening to all his fascinating hunting and fishing stories and just talking with him solving the world’s problems. He will be missed by all. Again please accept my deepest sympathies.
