Such a great guy! I’m remembering DANCING and if he didn’t ask you this time, he would grab your hand for the next one. Navy dances, midway, st Pete’s st James, he could fast dance and twist non-stop, the word fun must have his picture next to it! “We mourn the loss of such a good man, but know that there are others rejoicing to meet him behind the veil”~ old Irish proverb

Howie was a great friend and co-worker, he always was happy (really he was) and had a comment that he would share about everything. He seemed grumpy to others who didn't know his type of humor. His family was very important to him, I was privileged to know Renee and Howie when they were small, wonderful kids and now adults.
If Howie had a cigar and a beer he was happy, we had a lot of good times golfing and playing cards, I was blessed to have known him!

I was on Super Duper in the mid 70s when Howard was the Babe Ruth coach. He was a great guy,
and everyone liked him. He was funny and reassuring to all. Howie Junior was always running
around, and we had a fun atmosphere.
I saw him a few years ago at the 'Good Time Saloon'. We had a nice talk going down memory
lane. I've been there a few times since hoping to see him, and wish we could've reconnected
a few more times.
My best to his family and friends, as I'm sure he had many.
Condolences to all.

Ed and I give our condolences to Howie's family. My heart aches of the loss of Howie, I cannot even begin to express or find the right words. He was a great friend to Ed and I. We had a lot of fun through the years. Many years ago we made a lot of memories bar hopping and riding bike but my most memorable ones have been in the later years laughing and sharing while playing cards for hours on end. He was a good listener, witty and would give the shirt off his back if needed; that was just the way he was. I don't believe he had any enemies, he was liked by all. He will be in our hearts forever. I have great memories of old bushman Being a picture of The East end hotel Mr. Bees silvered dollar. We always went to the games. He always had that big old cigar in his mouth. I will never forget The Times we shared together.
Lost, but never forgotten.
