Obituary of Howard O. Bush Jr.

Howard O. Bush, Jr., 78, of 75 Livingston Avenue, died Tuesday February 27, 2024, in his home. He was born October 6, 1945, in Jamestown, a son of the late Howard and Michaelina “Mickey” Piccirilli Bush, Sr. He was a graduate of Jamestown High School. Prior to his retirement he was employed by Hopes Windows as a draftsman for many years. Howard enjoyed socializing at various clubs including Celoron Fish Club and Celoron Moose Lodge, bowling, golfing, and playing cards. He played softball in a league and coached Babe Ruth Baseball for several years. He was an avid fan of the Minnesota Vikings and New York Yankees. Surviving is his former wife and good friend Lyn Spencer; children Renee Anderson and Howard Bush III; grandchildren Jennifer (Spencer) Shirley, Amanda (Malcolm) Shevlin, Angela Anderson (Rich), Miranda Bush (Jordan), Patricia Bush (Ryan), and Howard Bush IV; brothers Jeff Bush (Ellen) and Glenn Bush and sisters Sheila Neuman and Debbie Gruber; and several great grandchildren, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and his close friends Ed and Elaine Wolfe. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter Christina Bush; brother Doug Bush; sisters Donna Scholl and Marcia Bush and nephew Donnie Scholl. A memorial service will be held at 6 pm Thursday in the Lind Funeral Home where friends will be received from 3-6 pm Thursday. The service will be livestreamed at www.lindfuneralhome.com.
