Dear Family: I just learned on Monte's passing and wish to send my heartfelt condolences to you all. I met Monte about 20 years ago at one of the Fly Shows that he attended. I was so impressed with Monte and how he devoted so much effort and his passion not only for fly fishing but to teach so many kids that hobby. His Kids On The Fly program was one I always supported with fly tying materials from my company. "Otter's Soft Milking Eggs. He would send me pictures of his kids tying up flies and I enjoyed seeing how he taught so many youngsters. He will be sorely missed and I am so fortunate to have met and enjoyed his friendship over so many years.Rest in peace, Monte.
