Dear Slumsky Family,
I am deeply saddened to hear about the loss of Barbara. She was not only my mentor teacher but also a dear friend whose infectious smile brightened every room. Barbara's talent for knitting, her skills as a fantastic bunco player, and her delightful company made her truly special. I fondly remember her as the post-it note queen, always organized and efficient.
Her warmth and generosity extended beyond the classroom, touching many lives, including mine. I was fortunate to have her son in a musical I directed, and he did a fabulous job—a testament to the wonderful family she nurtured.
Recently, I had the pleasure of having lunch with Barbara and a friend, enjoying her vibrant spirit once more. She will be dearly missed, and her legacy will live on in the many hearts she touched.
My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.
