Lori Lind posted a condolence

My heart felt condolences to Kelly, Kathy, Susie and David. I have not seen you in many years, but I have wonderful childhood memories of growing up next door to your family on Lakin Ave. For instance, your mom would move her scalp with her hand and say she was wearing a wig. She healed our cuts with an aloe plant she had in a window by the basement steps. She cracked her gum all the time which I could never achieve myself as a youngster. And one for your dad...he would scare us by telling us there was a creature under the attic stairs and lifted up the step to have us look in. I don't think I ever dared. I stayed in touch with your parents through the years and with your mom after Gunny died. Her sense of humor and her beautiful smile with a twinkle in her eye was always comforting and made you feel welcome and safe. The friendship our parents shared was a true blessing. I will keep both of your parents in my heart. They are very special people I was lucky to have known. May you be comforted by your loving memories as well. Love, Lori Lind

Bobby and I were fortunate enough to become neighbors of Joan and Chuck at Oceanside Village in 2017. She was a delightful person with a beautiful smile and spirit. The world needs more Joans. May you find comfort in
your memories and strength in your faith.
